Chennai: A delegation representing the Tamil Nadu Farmers' Association convened a meeting with Chief Minister M.K. Stalin at the Secretariat today. The primary objective of this meeting was to apprise the Chief Minister about the pressing issues and demands of the state's farming community.
During the deliberations, the farmers' representatives highlighted several key concerns, including crop insurance, fair pricing for agricultural produce, and measures to mitigate the impact of climate change on farming. They also presented proposals aimed at improving agricultural infrastructure and providing better support systems for farmers across Tamil Nadu.
Chief Minister Stalin assured the delegation that the government would carefully consider their demands and take appropriate steps to address the challenges faced by the agricultural sector. The meeting concluded with an understanding that further dialogues would be held to implement effective solutions for the betterment of farmers and the agricultural economy of the state.
