He stated that the Trinamool Congress administration is actively curtailing the public celebration of Hindu festivals, pointing to instances where idol immersion processions are reportedly being restricted.
In contrast, Adityanath claimed that the state government is permissive of Muslim religious observances taking place on public thoroughfares, citing the allowance of namaz (prayers) on the streets. This disparity, he argued, highlights a perceived bias in the enforcement of religious freedom within the state.
The Chief Minister's remarks come amidst ongoing political discourse surrounding religious and cultural events in West Bengal.
