Prime Minister Narendra Modi has officially inaugurated the Ganga Expressway, a monumental infrastructure project spanning 594 kilometers. This access-controlled greenfield expressway is now the longest of its kind in Uttar Pradesh, designed to significantly improve connectivity between Meerut and Prayagraj.
The expressway passes through 12 districts, promising to transform transportation and economic activity across a vast region of the state. With an investment of approximately ₹37,000 crore, the project is a key initiative aimed at accelerating development and reducing travel durations considerably for commuters and goods movement.
This ambitious project is expected to not only ease travel but also foster industrial growth and create new opportunities along its corridor. The introduction of innovative safety features, such as those designed to combat driver drowsiness, highlights a commitment to modern and secure transportation infrastructure.
